| About Semiscon |
Established in the autumn of 2001, Semiscon was constituted by a group of old friends. We have made acquaintances with one another since "All-musical Chorus", which was the pioneering musical company in Taiwan. In preparation of various periodical invitation from, among others, National theater and Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, during the time attending "All-musical Chorus", we underwent rigorous professional training in such areas as voice, dance, and theatrical performance to give audience the utmost of acoustic and visual delight. Five years of stage experience and continuous performance training contribute vastly not only to our professionalism as performers but our friendship as well. Approximately 2 years ago, a number of the choir members decided to extend our musical antenna and further explore what other realms of performing art have to offer; therefore we started our own "a cappella".
Semiscon incorporate our previous performing experience into traditional chorus and wish to challenge ourselves and create a one-of -a- kind new special sensation for our audience. We attended Taiwan A cappella Competition, the chief and authoritative a cappella contest in Taiwan, and won the championship of the singers' group. Semiscon, also awarded the two prizes of "the best stage presentation" and "the best presentation of designated song".
Semiscon was the most outstanding team of this competition in 2003, therefore we had the chance to release our album, the first album of a-cappella in Taiwan.Semiscon had become the most popular a-cappella group in Taiwan.
